Barra

Not what it used to be. I’m guessing it’s changed ownership or management, or perhaps both. Floors, walls, and bathrooms all grimy. Service used to be on point and good energy, now it’s lacking in comparison and our waitress was eager to offer happy hour pricing on a weekend…not a great sign. They used to be busy enough that happy hour wasn’t even a thing. Food was decent, thankfully. Hand written sign on our way in mentioning a 3% charge for credit card use- sorry, that 3% is coming off the top of someone’s tip.

Just left and it was laughable. The food is actually pretty decent. The waitress and bar staff were just pitiful. Bar person had no idea what was on tap, no idea what an IPA was, retrieved our own glasses for beer, napkins and had to ask for set ups. They had no clue regarding sauces. Staff were on phones and in kitchen talking and laughing it up. AND we were the only ones there for 30 minutes. Used to really enjoy coming here but this place is going down hill quickly. I think we're done!

Was a little pricey for tacos...But the food was AMAZING so it was definitely worth the price. The owner was super nice came over to the table and talking to us about some upcoming events. will be returning.

Really excellent service!! Stopped in for drinks and snacks and everyone was so friendly. The drinks are really fantastic. JJ is super friendly and was extremely accommodating. Can’t wait to go back!!

The food was so excellent. Best tacos around! It came out very fast and the staff is just amazing! The general manager was the absolute sweetest and had a very nice conversation with me. He is very relatable and passionate about Barra to ensure all needs were met. I can’t say enough kind stuff about the staff here. Their street corn was the tastiest I ever had and had become my favorite snack. 100% recommend their lobster taco! Great job at the Amherst location! I will be back and will recommend to everyone.
