Pasticceria Russo - Amelia

It's bees a lovely gelato with pistachio and brioche, one of the best I've ever eaten. Highly recommend this place!

We came in looking for a late lunch (as Brits who go exploring do), and they offered to make us all ham and cheese sandwiches. They asked if we would like some antipasto with it and we said yes. We were expecting just a sandwich, but they bought our fresh-baked rolls filled with prosciutto or another type of ham and local cheese with marinated courgettes, peppers and aubergines. All made especially for us on request! So much more than just a sandwich and exactly what we needed. We then finished our lunch of with various pastries (strawberry tart, some sort of run cake, and other cream-filled cakes that we got because they looked really good without knowing what they actually were. Nonetheless, all were delicious. And a shout-out to the waitresses who put up with our broken Italian and two-word answers when ordering. We all got what we wanted and were served with a smile!

We stumbled upon this place a few days ago and are back for the second time. It is among the best paticcerie we have discovered so far on this trip. A case full of beautiful, delicious pastries, plus the usual coffee drinks, good free Wifi, and a pleasant, helpful staff. A clean bright environment (looks like they just opened recently) in a town where things may be a bit funky.
