Altered Genius Brewing Co. - Ambridge

I've been to Altered Genius several times now, most recently with my wife on a Friday evening. The quality of the food and beer has always been excellent, the ambiance is great, and the staff are great. On my most recent visit two things were especially impressive. There were a few families with young children, and a young guitarist and singer named Elias Khouri was performing. The music was great, not too loud, not too soft, just right. This, coupled with the presence of the families and the hospitality of the staff gave the place a nice, warm, homey ambiance. A great place for beer, food, and entertainment. Five stars.

Order the lobster sandwich. Also, the mushroom veggie burger. And the beer is always good! Another gem in Ambridge.

Just had dinner for first time at Altered Genius. Great experience! Loved the pulled pork Mac n cheese.

Great little brewpub. The beer options have always been great, with descriptions and ABV indicated (always a plus) and the servers were schooled on their product , always helpful. We hadn’t been there for a few months, and yesterday I couldn’t help but notice that food menu has kicked it up a few notches. My bride had high praise for her wings, and my Taco mac-n-cheese was filling and delicious; generously portioned. If your favorite beer has the word “Light” in its title, stay away. Otherwise, get here and enjoy.

Cool brewery with a hip vibe and good food and drinks. I ordered the pork belly tacos and my husband ordered a jalapeño burger and both were good. He liked his beer and I liked my Cider too. Bar has board and yard games as well as a nice porch and patio.
