Alexander's - Ambridge

We ate here for the first time yesterday evening based on the recommendation of a local shop owner, I had the Broiled Cod with baked potato, Mahi Mahi with peach Mango Chutney and roasted zucchini as the side. Starting with the cons: It's half an hour away from me. Pros: The cod was probably the best boiled fish I had from everywhere, it was disintegrated flakey and the lemon butter sauce gave him a great taste without exaggerating it. The baked potato was perfectly cooked (soft inside, beautiful crispy skin on the outside). My wife had mostly gone the Mahi Mahi before I even realized what happened, she said that the Chutney added the perfect mix of sweet and spicy to the fish, the zucchini was roasted in a lemon olive oil, her new favorite way to cook it, she said. For dessert she had baklava sundae, it had a large and thick piece of baklava covered under a pot of ice and with chocolate. I had the cream brulee with raspberries, it was torn right at the table, which was a nice touch on it, the brown sugar was caramelized directly to form a warm layer on the cool ground. I prefer it without the raspberries, they took away from the taste of the actual cream brulee, so I eat them separately. Our waiter (who I suspect was one of the owners) was wonderful. He was attentive enough for us that we never had to ask for something and even joked with us. After our dinner he came by and talked to us for a while and was a whole gorgeous guy, even if the food wasn't as amazing as it was the treatment we got from him was enough to make us back.

Alexander's is a family restaurant serving the Ambridge community and its surroundings for years. It is the place for a beautiful atmosphere, good and well prepared food and excellent hospitality. The prices are very reasonable, and while most of the menu is traditional American cuisine, they have some Greek offers and Italian offers that are excellent. I highly recommend it.

Alexander 's has a company lunch in February 2014. The food was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted amazing and was fresh and hot. The staff filled our plates to the edge and left nothing! Absolutely extraordinary food. I see the other complaints here are regarding their customer service and wait staffing obvious I can't come to that because our interaction was simply carried out, but the older lady and two gentlemen who were here were nothing but friendly and repeatedly thanked us for the opportunity to serve them. Regular customer when visiting. Treated like family. Love the mushroom soup on Fridays. Fried cod, awesome. Can still get beets. Makes me happy.
