Edit: The owner has found out and explained the misunderstanding with the actual ordering service. I appreciated that. From 3 back to 5 stars. Food is phenomenal. We had Gnocchi, Bolognese, Ochsenschwanz Ragu, Caesar Salat, Arugula Salat and Chicken Parm. It's amazing. Experience with the staff will not give you the warm and fuzzies and we have ordered once online for a Sunday. Paying fees to the card and showed up to closed doors without notification on all social media sites that there are any changes to hours. 8 starving people and not serving food.

I don't usually write restaurant reviews, but our experience in Ristorante Imperatore was so fantastic that I was forced to write this review. From the minute I called them to make the reservation I felt the warmth and welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by Dominic at the door and he kept giving us his professional attention all night. Many delicious dishes on the menu and a few excellent specialties to choose. The pasta is homemade, the sauces are exceptionally fresh tasting and creative. I am a food and every dish I saw came out of the kitchen looked amazing. I heard some of the other clients comment on how good their dishes were. Every dish we had was fantastic. Many friendly helpful attention from our weight staff of Dominic, Jennifer and Sam. They made sure we had everything we needed at any time. Did I mention that the restaurant is BYOB? What's really fun. We got a wine cup for our beer to keep it nice and cold and all the right glasses. I would strongly recommend you try this restaurant? You will not be disappointed!

The worst experience! After our waiter told us that it was the house specialty two of us ordered the calf skirt. It was dry and overhauled. Our mistake not to ask the price! The bill came and it was $95,90 for the two! Definitely not worth it! Then when we paid the bill that we asked the tip wrong (our mistake!, and the water came back to our table very annoyed, what was the thing with the service? We said it was good, then he threw the bill on the table and said it was worth more than 10%! We apologized, said we understood it wrong, and he stole it! Then when we recalculated, he comes back to the table with his phone and tells us what the tip should be! We should have just got up and go, but we've changed the tip? he didn't get 20%!! Will NIE go back! Since then we have heard from many people who said they will never go back! How we miss the village of Tavern!

Service was good. Bread was excellent, crusty, warm. My friend's chicken dish was made beautiful. My dish had a good taste that was shrimp/scallops. It should come with Risotto, but I think it could have been rice. The avocado appetizer was ok, but the avocado was not peeled. Again, taste very good, but need a few minor improvements.

Food was delicious. It tasted fresh with quality ingredients. The service was very good. It's a nice comfortable place. We will definitely return to this fine neighborhood byob
