Rußwurmhaus - Amberg

I ordered a T-bone steak and it showed up charred and burnt. Waitress was nice and attentive and the atmosphere was great. Very pricey for subpar food.

This is a great restaurant tucked away by the western side of the church, just across the river. It has ample outdoor seating, in a beautiful setting with tables set into a gardens worth of plants, all resting in the shadows of the church. The beer here is great. I strongly suggest the strong beer and Dunkel. If you get the strong beer it comes in an awesome mug, which you can by for 5 euro. The food is varied, not monster portions, but delicious and well plated. We all ate off each others plates and the venison, pork medallions, and pork shoulder are all great. Mine seemed a little dry, but there was ample beer sauce on my plate and when I ran the meat through it it made a perfect bite. You may not easily find this one, but it's worth the hunt. And they have English menus available if requested.

The russwurmhaus has incredible soups and delicious steaks. the restaurant is incredibly small, so reservations are a must.

Excellent service, excellent eating, cosy ambiente let us come back regularly.

Super delicious German/Bavarian home cooking, too very pleasant trips. it tastes like at home with mother! the chefin as well as the charm of the house contribute their rest to it.
