Casa De Mar - Alvor

Lovely setting but overall disappointing, my friend ate all of his Tuna, his wife some of the fish cake. My wife liked her sea bass but it had that many bones it was difficult to eat. My piri piri chicken just tasted of chicken. Wine was okay.

Excellent choice for dinner in Alvor.Fabulous choice of fish ,beautifully cooked on the barbecue. Always busy but great location in Alvor. Very varied menu and excellent value

We eat here every time we come to Alvor. I’m genuinely surprised at how far down the list this restaurant comes on TripAdvisor. The food has always been good. It’s true, sometimes you do have to wait for food the restaurant gets very busy and it is all cooked to order. I’d term the restaurant as ‘rustic’ and somewhere to go if you’re unhurried. Drink wine (or whatever your tipple) and watch the world go by. The staff are great, although very busy. They don’t have time to stop and chat like we’ve experienced in other restaurants.

If you looking to try a traditional sardine lunch this is perfect , nice setting , great price and service

My wife and I had lunch here. My wife had the sea bass and I had the octopus, both of which were delicious. I am very surprised how far down the list it is on Trip Advisor, as the restaurant is always very well patronised at lunch and dinner times.
