Smith Midtown New York - Alvin

Food was yummy. Sat in the corner of the restaurant by the stairs. I think those tables are a little too close. The server had to stand behind guests to speak to them to not have his rear over other guests tables. To get up and leave I had to squeeze past other guests as well. Otherwise, the hostess was welcoming and the server was good.

Birthday. Service was horrible and food was wrong when it came out. We’re never offered drink refills and waiter was rude when asked to fix food. Didn’t check on us once the entire night. Had no water for dinner and flagged down other waiters to help and no one would ever bring us any. Horrible experience and very average food.

I want to start by saying that we dined out at this restaurant. Anyone who has dined on 2nd Avenue knows that the ambiance is lacking and there is a lot of noise. However, the food was excellent. My friend and I shared the calamari and the Peashoot-Arugula salad with grilled shrimp, both of which were delicious. We also tried the sweet potato mash, which was fantastic. I would definitely return for a meal. The other dishes we saw being served at neighboring tables also looked appetizing.

We always enjoy dining at The Smith Midtown. The menu offers exceptional and diverse options that cater to all tastes. The service is excellent.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was delightful. I particularly enjoyed the bar menu and have consistently received great service.
