Pop's Clam Shell - Alton Bay

Drove one hour outside, kayaked then came here at 3:00 and was said there closed, but website says open until 8:00. turn around and they still serve customers I just wanted some clams and a drink! In this heat I would have been happy with a drink, but I said they were closed for an hour so I would have to wait! Bad customer service a drink requires little to no trouble and they wouldn't even let me order one!!! Never!

Pop's offers a fantastic dining experience with plenty of delicious food and excellent service! They have indoor seating with air conditioning on the main floor, as well as an upper deck. Right across the road is Alton Bay, where we enjoyed sitting at a picnic table, watching the boats in the bay. I highly recommend trying Pop's Clam Shell!

A hidden gem! I worked here in the late '70s, and it hasn't changed much since then (which is a good thing). The original owners, the Andrews family, established the restaurant with a focus on high-quality food, and the current owner, the son I worked for, seems to uphold that same tradition. While they’ve had a reputation for high prices, that perception isn't entirely justified when you consider everything. With recent changes in ownership and menu at Sawyer, Pop's has reclaimed its position in the local dining scene around the lake.

Everything was absolutely brilliant? You won't be unhappy if you try. We had seafood plates and where better than what you get right on the beaches? Fish restaurants in Hampton or Seabrook New Hampshire. Will definitely recommend and return? Thank you. Dave, the beautiful work

Don't get a pepper steak sub here is my advice. It was basically 60% peppers and the meat had little flavor at all. I also tried my daughter's calamari but that was flavorless. Fries and soda where good.
