Pizzeria Saccharum - ALTAVILLA MILICIA

We were renting a house with the family in a village near to this place and the first evening wanted to have a simple meal so we chose a pizzeria nearby. Reviews (always check Italian language reviews when in Italy on Tripadvisor were very positive and we thought to give it a shot. We were impressed from the very beginning. Nice and modern place, very nice people, helpful, friendly but not pushy service. And their pizza is next level. As I work in Italy for many years I had a chance to try some of the best and most famous pizzerias. This on is for sure in top 3 I tried (Pepe in Grani still missing on my list : . We were party of 9 and had 7 fantastic pizzas. Some very creative and others very classic. My wife and daughter shared a starter tasting course and it was outstanding. In case you are staying anywhere between Palermo and Cefalú it is worth driving to Altavilla Milicia for this experience.

Went there today with my family for dinner, the meal was great, portions were generous, wait staff was attentive and price was reasonable (not cheep but not over priced)

Locale nuovo, accogliente. Ho mangiato un'ottima pizza al tonno, con pomodorini gialli e rossi olive capperi , cipolla caramellata, ed infine dell'ottimo tonno . Ottima anche la pizza con il crudo scaglie di grana e rucola. Il menù è ricco di tante cose buone e inoltre vengono utilizzati ottimi prodotti, che ne esaltano il gusto. Il servizio ai tavoli ottimo. In questo periodo estivo si puo' usufruire dei tavoli nel giardino esterno al locale .

Ho un problema con questa recensione: non trovo le parole per scriverla. Ogni pizza era gustosissima! L'impasto scioglievole, alveolato, leggerissimo; gli ingredienti non sono paragonabili a quelli usati in nessun'altra pizzeria, forse reggerebbero il confronto con un ristorante stellato. La loro unione era pura poesia. Ora capisco perché era cosi difficile prenotare, vale la pena. E in rapporto alla qualità, il prezzo non è per nulla elevato. Chapeau!
