El Rancherito is standard Mexican American food, for the most part. I got the enchilada plate, which was good with the exception of the hamburger as the meat (meh). Chips were just ok, same with the salsa. I got the bean dip that was really good. My wife got a dish that she felt was very subpar and couldn't eat it she took issue with the quality. I'd come back again, not expecting a great deal, and she wouldn't come back at all.
We eat her frequently and the staff is always warm and friendly. The food is always very good and the servings are plentiful.Kid-friendliness: They seem to do very well with children and adults a like.
Amazing sums it up. The atmosphere was wonderful, bright and colorful Mexican artwork engulf you. The service was prompt and friendly. The tamales were unbelievable, some of the best I have ever had. The molé on them was perfect, and molé done well is hard to find. I ate every bit of sauce off of my plate with the warm soft flour tortillas. The hot, thick, and fresh corn tortilla chips and fresh salsa were delightful, and a nice crunch with my soft and warm entrée. The chili verde would make your abuela weep with joy. No need for a knife, the steak just melted into the verde sauce. The tomatoes still were firm enough and were a delight to bite into in-between the copious amounts of steak. Even the rice was pillowy, moist, and flavorful. There was nothing less than authentic, scratch food here. I am absolutely thrilled that we were fortuitous enough to land here on a cross-country road trip. There is no doubt in saying I will be visiting again.Side note: The restaurant is next to a beautiful and quaint local park. A great spot to eat al fresco!
Great stop on our way home from visiting family. The Service was fast. The food was fresh and delicious.
