(mountain goat) wut, my wife had venison. a huge party of jägern was in the main restaurant, so in the woodpaneel jägerstube . the meat could not have been fresher or quieter. the game soup was also spectacular. everything else was well cooked and reasonable price. service efficient and fast. highly recommended!
After a walk in the magnificent surrounding mountains I stopped there for dinner as the restaurant is listed in a gourmet guide. as often in the Swiss, the dining room is very cozy and beautifully furnished. welcomes the warm welcome from the renter and. for the waitress (anne who provided an efficient service during dinner). as a starter I had a salad with goat cheese fresh and well seasoned. the main course was a juicy filet of bark perfectly grilled with chanterelles mushrooms. as dessert, I decided for a chocolate mousse plain simple and good. the only part is the very expensive bill. during the main course was quite expensive, I found the starter slightly exaggerated: CHF17.50 for an salat I would have paid about chf13 and CHF7.80 (yes, 7.80! for a double espresso is to squeeze it mildly!
The local is cozy, homely furnished and fits totally in the opposite. the staff is friendly, attentive and the chef welcomes the guests personally. the menu is clear...now the selection is not very large. classic as rösti is missing for example quite and belongs in a mountainous area simply on the map. clear culinary concept was not clear to me. you just want to be bourgeois, or something else. eating is in order, but not so that I would drive very far away. simplest supplement as reis is drawn from the water for example 0815, without taste with water-lax in the pot. the price level is high, or the portions too small. craftsmen will not get enough. It may be different during the week. we were there at the weekend.
Have enjoyed a romantic dinner with my wife in the rössli. The eating was excellent and the service very good.price performance from my very well.Who surely go back to the rössli.P.M
The owner and chef, a refreshingly rotund man (a good omen - I'm suspicious of slim chefs) comes round at the end of dinner and greets every table. That's a good sign. He clearly has happy customers. It was game season and we had chamois (mountain goat) ragout, my wife had venison. A huge party of huntsmen were in the main restaurant, so were in the wood-panelled Jägerstube. The meat could not have been fresher or tastier. The game soup to start was also spectacular. Everything else was well cooked and prices reasonable. Service efficient and fast. Highly recommended!
