Great food and service. On a visit through west Texas. A must stop

The food was delicious and enjoyed sitting on the beautiful patio. Kiersten provided great service!

Vacationing to Alpine. Food was fair at best. The chicken fried steak was well over cooked and the mashed potatoes were very salty. The Caesar salad was okay but blah, nothing exceptional. There was no bread offered to go along with the meal. The CF wine was very good, the best part of the meal. The servers were very nice too. For an establishment that claims to be legendary for their food, we were extremely disappointed. Since we live in the DFW metroplex where there are so many fine restaurants, we will not be attending Riatas again nor would we recommend it to anyone else. Hopefully, this was just a bad night for your cook staff. That, to go along with the price of meal, will be enough to keep us away.

Reata was an all time favorite of ours in west Texas. Not anymore. I was really turned off by the heavily crusted chili relleno stuffed with three unknown cheeses. Served on top of creamed corn and grits for a side. The accompanying stuffed jalapenos were overcooked with little evidence of any stuffing. We love wine but the offerings were not to our liking at all. Gold margaritas were decent.
