Contribuiți la feedbackIt was my first time dining at Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou restaurant. The restaurant sure had a Cajun theme with a lot of decorations that made me feel like I was in NOLA. The first table we sat at wobbled really badly so we decided to sit outside next to their Koi pond. Onto the food. The bread they use for the oyster po boy was stale and cold in the center. Even though they put grill marks on it and attempted to heat it up. It was not fresh bread. The oysters were chewyand had way too much breading. The gumbo came out luke warm. The food would stay hot longer if you just heat up the cup first. The alligator bite had some sweet sauce on the side which was not a favorite and their version of Remoulade wasnot even close. It had a collection of weird spices. Almost like they used Tony Thatchers to give it a kick. My bayou salad was pretty good other than using unripened tomatoes in it.
Coming here almost every week. The ladies were very prompt and nice. I should say, they have outstanding customer service. For us to give good tip... is understatement. They deserve more! The Cajun food... oh, it's all good! My favorite... Catfish Pontchartrain and Red Mountain Trout! None can beat these! The place is always full. Well... because it's a relaxing place, with good working people and very good Cajun food! 2 thumbs up, and 5 stars! We're impressed! Good job,#flatlandsandbayou!
I go here twice a year for my anniversary and my fiance's birthday and we LOVE it! It's always gumbo with a side of fries for us but these drink were delicious aswell lol. Annie was wonderful and helped me surprise him this year with a birthday dessert. We will keep coming back as long as they keep serving delicious food! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Looks great, outdoor seating, nice menu. However, we had a wheel chair guest and no effort made to get this guest into the deck area. Handicapped access blocked by customers. Not appropriate. Most of the Food was very good except the baked oysters. They were way overcooked, shriveled and would not release for the oyster shell. Surprised they served them. Wheelchair accessibility: We had a wheel chair bound family member. Employees standing at front door offered to help lift our guest over the three front stairs. However there is an easier /ramp access available but did not offer to tell us. Not good.
