We were told about this place by friends so we set out to find it on a nice sunny winters day, after a 1.1/2 hour drive we finally found it arriving about 12.30pm only to be told that the do not start serving lunch until 1.30pm. We ordered drinks and decided to wait, the owner gave us with our drinks a large plate of freshly carved Serrano and a basket of bread, the ham was delicious and the bread very fresh which kept us going until the service started. No menus here just the owner telling what they have that day, totally Spanish no English spoken but we managed and order our starter of soup. Well it came in a large soup dish full to the top with large chunks of ham and black pudding with potatoes, it was very rustic with lots of spices especially cumin and it was delicious. Next up was a lamb rib stew with chips and another large basket of bread for the juices, it took some due to the number of bones but the flavour was again delicious. We were going to say no to desserts as we were getting full but the owner would not take no for an answer so out came a large plate of sweet flaky pastry full of fresh cream and topped with hot chocolate sauce. We could not finish it but again delicious. Extra mains were cod in sauce or pork knuckle stew and I'm sure they would have been just as good. We had a bottle of house red, 14.5% proof ! , two red wine spritzer and a large brandy, plus the owner gift of a large liqueur and when we asked for the bill we told €40.00 for everything, we could not believe it, a meal and drinks for four people! This is a place we will certainly go out of our way to visit again.

Excellent treatment and excellent food. good treatment and good food. We were a day of daily and the truth that the menu was very abundant and all very good. the meat was pork chop that was very tender and very good. The desserts were a fig flank that was the first time I tried and was very good. We'll certainly repeat. the very close and very friendly treatment at all times.

I've been visiting him for years. always excellent food. They treat you as well as when they are overwhelmed, make me feel like a special client and always have some detail that makes you come back.
