The Coffee Lounge - Allerdale

Managed to get a seat outside for a quick bite. Delicious soup with baguette, very generously filled ham and cheese sandwich served with crisps and salad garnish, delicious hot coffee and great service. What’s not to like?

The Coffee Lounge has changed ownership this year so reviews and menu photos prior to this relate to the previous owners. The new owners have done a good job with the seating. The Bacon bap was good, but the scrambled egg was really awful as it was not scrambled very well and rather anemic with with large chunks of white egg in it. It was very much like having bits of hard boiled egg white added. I can't imagine how they made it, maybe they didn't beat the egg first and just cracked the eggs in the pan and gave it a minimal stir and let it set. Who knows? it's really not a difficult dish to do. The Latte was very weak.

I’ve visited Keswick many times and this is still the best for breakfast. Good quality sausage etc, good coffee and nice service.

The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the coffee was fantastic. We were able to sit outside with our dog, who was given a water bowl and a treat. It was definitely worth the money. Thank you so much.
