Volpe's Sports - Allentown

This restaurant has the nostalgic vibe of a bar that reminds you of the good old days, but it’s definitely not a dive. The service and food are consistently excellent. If you're in the mood for a cigar, there's an outdoor area with TVs, perfect for enjoying one after a nice meal. It truly has that friendly atmosphere where everyone knows your name.

Absolutely the worst bar in the West End. When I walked in, there were only two people there—pretty dull, so I decided to leave for food. When I returned, the bartender told me I was cut off for no reason, even though I hadn’t even had a drink there. I will never set foot in that place again.

When I asked for slushies, she allowed me to try some, and I ended up sampling four different flavors. Each time I asked politely, unsure if it was acceptable. By the time we reached the fourth one, she exclaimed, "Oh my god," before pouring me a sample. She mentioned that normally, no one would let me try so many. I told her she could just say "no" next time I asked if I could sample, rather than letting me try all of them. Her response was, "I know, but it's just me here." I explained that once I try them all, I wouldn't need to sample again in the future. After I chose my flavor, she threw the straw down in a passive-aggressive manner. I took my drink, and my boyfriend left a tip as we left.

There cheesesteaks really sucks each time ii get it there’s not a lot of meat and the bread is always over cooked

I recommend the Cuban sandwich. BTW, go there on a Thursday. They have love music. Steph Bob Duo were great!
