Contribuiți la feedbackWhen we inquired about how quickly they turn tables, Madison explained that they prioritize the customers' preferences. This likely wouldn't have addressed the issues mentioned in the first review, but now, a guest could request to be expedited and finish in 45 minutes to an hour if they wish. However, they don’t rush you, which is a plus compared to places like Mama Nina's, where you'll be asked to leave to make room for the next guests. I also had a conversation with a manager named Jordan Giles, who was impressive and had previously worked at a restaurant in Philadelphia before opening this one. She’s a bright young woman who aspires to eventually run her own restaurant. Now, onto the service—it was excellent, which is something I value in a restaurant. As for the food, from an American perspective, it was quite good; from a Swiss perspective, it was average. Don’t misunderstand me; the food is good, but it doesn’t quite match the fondue you would find in Switzerland. That said, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Instead of opting for the four-course meal, we chose a cheese course and an entrée course. A tip: if you’re dining with four or six people, get a table with two burners. This way, you can have two pots with different styles at the table at once, rather than everyone agreeing on a single type. For the cheese course, we ordered a Swiss pot and a Fiesta pot (with salsa and cheese). The ingredients were fresh, featuring freshly cut jalapeños and spices in the Fiesta pot, while the Swiss pot had a mix of cheeses and cherry water. Madison provided detailed explanations throughout the process, creating a lighthearted moment when she had to count out ten twists of the pepper mill and we interrupted her, leading to some laughs. We chose a medium heat for the Fiesta cheese, but it was spicier than most would expect. The best part is that you can get unlimited refills of veggies or fruit (for the Swiss pot) and bread until the cheese runs out. The entrée options included seafood, chicken, and beef, all with various marinades. They also provided sauces to add to the meats once they came out of the pot. We decided on a Coq au vin (which was very good but $6 extra) and a plain oil for cooking. You also get bowls of vegetables and cut potatoes to add to the pot, with refills available. I sampled shrimp, beef, chicken, and pork, but I think just getting the chicken with all the sauces would be equally satisfying. Oh, and there were potstickers, which were a bit tricky to cook; we tried two, and they both fell apart in the bowl. If you ask, they might give you some cooking tips, but it was too late for us. When we got the check, the manager, Jordan, stopped by to offer us some chocolate on the house, around 10:30 PM, even though we’d arrived at 9:30. We were quite full, but she persuaded us to try a small pot of chocolate. It was something special not listed on the menu, referred to as the “Snickers” pot, and it was fantastic. My overall recommendation would be to enjoy the cheese and chocolate courses while skipping the entrée—or perhaps just indulge in the chocolate course and regret it later. It was incredibly good. One last note: reservations can be tough to secure, but definitely get on the waiting list, as cancellations do occur.
I went out for dinner with some friends, and we expected to spend about two hours there. Instead, we ended up staying for five hours and didn’t leave until after 11 PM. It wasn't because we were leisurely chatting at the bar; while the food was fantastic, the service was extremely slow. There were times when we waited over 30 minutes between courses. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, but it seemed like the staff was completely disorganized. We even waited over an hour to receive our bill. As I drove home, I realized no one ever asked if we wanted coffee or tea with our dessert. I understand they’ve only been open a few days, but their service needs significant improvement. I’d suggest waiting about six months before visiting, unless you’re okay with a five-hour dinner. I definitely wouldn’t recommend bringing children; it would be difficult for them to sit that long, and it's not an appropriate environment for them to be running around.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The hostesses were friendly and professional, and the wait staff was attentive and polite. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was cozy, with high-backed booths that offered a sense of privacy and were very spacious, making them suitable for larger guests. Even the restroom was a pleasant surprise, featuring not only hand lotion but also mouthwash. The decor was lovely, and the staff was exceptionally professional. Overall, we had a truly delightful experience.
My husband and I went to the Melting Pot last weekend in Bethlehem for our anniversary. We were so excited to see such a nice restaurant come to our area! From the minute we walked in the door we knew we were in for a special night. The front door was held open for us by the hostess who extended a friendly welcome. We were seated at our table within minutes of arriving and there was a nice greeting card on the table wishing us a Happy Anniversary. As for the food, we have made fondue at our house before but never to the likes of this! It was so delicious from start to finish, even the presentation of the food. Our server was so helpful during the whole dinner and the manager stopped by periodically to ask us how everything was. We were blown away by how much everyone cared about keeping us happy during our special dinner. Overall I would definitely recommend trying this wonderful new restaurant in our area. Thank you to the staff who made our anniversary unforgettable! We can’t wait to go back!
