Dairy Queen Brazier - Allendale

I attempted to take a few kids to DQ Allendale this past Sunday around 2:00 PM. Although the lights were on, the doors were locked, and there was no one inside. The sign indicated that it should be open. This is the second time this has occurred, which is incredibly frustrating. From now on, we will be visiting a different local Dairy Queen.

I've had two disappointing experiences at this restaurant. The first time, my blizzard was missing all the ingredients I requested. Then yesterday, the first two ingredients I asked for were unavailable. When I requested pecans, what they included in the blizzard didn't resemble nuts at all. To top it off, the soft serve was so diluted that it was practically liquid, with only a slight firmness in the center. I will not be returning to this location.

I visited the restaurant last week at 9:15 PM, on a night they were scheduled to close at 10 PM. Upon arrival, I noticed that all the ice cream was covered, and someone was sweeping behind the ice cream displays. At first, I thought they were already closing up for the night. While I completely understand them wanting to wrap things up, I felt a bit awkward asking to see the ice cream options. In the end, I decided to go for soft serve instead. Perhaps it would be better to wait until 15 minutes before closing time to cover the ice cream? Regardless, I really enjoyed my soft serve and was very happy with it! Thank you!

I visited Allendale Dairy Queen and paid $6.14 for a sundae. The same order at the Wyckoff location cost $5.60. The service was good at both places.

Delicious. The Blizzards are always well blended with a generous amount of treats.
