B.boomers Sports Grille - Allen Park

This place does not exist anymore! Went out of business before 2020 and in Fall 2023 the building was demolished.

First: Went to check their website... and I got porn so that happened... haha But anyway, this place is GARBAGE. First of all, the service was super slow. We probably could've walked out and they wouldn't have even noticed we left. I felt bad because they only had one server to quite a few tables, and it was trivia night which we weren't aware of (but yay trivia! . So, I'm sure our server was very busy, but I digress. 1st- they did have a good beer selection, which I appreciated. 2nd- Their wings are HORRIBLE and covered in grease... not a huge fan. 3rd- our APPETIZER came AFTER we got our food. What in the world?! 4th- our server messed up our side salads, and we ended up getting two HUGE salads which was kind of cool, except that too, was full of grease. Yes, the salad had grease... so yeah. Basically, not coming back. Just skip this place.

Judging from what the regulars at the place were eating, their pizza seems to be the thing here, but I'll tell you what... The Boomer burger (with fried egg and thick-cut bacon) just may be both the best kept secret and the best damn burger in Metro Detroit. Seriously, cooked medium and on the bun they use, it's that good. It is a half-pounder (I usually stick to third pounders), but I managed to eat it all. The wife and boy got burgers as well, and demolished them. As for accompaniments, consensus at the table was that my curly fries were slightly better than my wife's sweet potato fries and my son's steak fries. Also, the wings they serve a cheap, HUGE, and delicious. They put your usual B-Dub's pigeon wings to shame. Plenty of sauce choices, too. There's beer and TV's aplenty, and early on at least, it still has a family vibe to it. However, the band was setting up as we were finishing dinner, so I have a feeling it changes a little later on.

Something weird is going on with this place. Their hours change. We were there the other night at 7 o'clock and they were closed. What kind of bar closes at 7 PM?

Love the bartender, Julie is the best bartender to come around in a long time! Food is awesome! Owner and employees are very friendly and take time to talk to you! You guys rock!
