Contribuiți la feedbackExcellent, fixed price menu. I had the meat menu sausage, then blade beef and cabbage in red wine, followed by lamb shank with root vegetables, then black pork with butter beans, all plus buttery rice. Huge quantities of really tasty food, preceded by bread and olives, and accompanied by wine or beer. All for 20 euros! My wife had the fish meal, which was excellent sardines (even though they called them mackerel) accompanied by rice and beans and salad, and again with wine or beer. And that was only 15 euros… Very authentic Portuguese, and friendly, even though the staff were rushed off their feet. I’d really recommend it for ‘the real deal’ at a budget price.
Autentická atmosféra s domácimi jedlami a veľmi osobným prístupom.
The best and most filling meal in Portugal to date! Carne focused and rustic and very authentic. Host superb. Totally recommended.
Entramos para almoçar... experimentamos o menu (alheira, costelinha, caldeirada de cabrito e feijoca, sobremesa e café .
DO NOT EAT HERE. Been in Portugal for 7 days and this was our first bad customer experience. We wanted a snack before our train arrived across the street at the train station. We saw the menu (posted here), and thought we 'd have the first item (bread, olives, and butter). We sat down and without asking us the waitress immediately brought us two glasses of port wine and bread and olives (no butter) with no menu. Luckily my boyfriend was wary and asked how much the refreshments cost. The waitress said it would be 3 euros for the wine, bread, and olives per person. We said we just wanted the bread and olives. She grumbled while taking the wine away and reported us to a man off to the side, who was presumably the owner. He grumbled to himself and shook his head as we ate, and watched my boyfriend as he got up to use the restroom, grumbling and shaking his head more. It was extremely uncomfortable! When we asked for the check the waitress said it would be 2 euros per person. When we disputed it, saying it didn 't say on the menu that the price was per person, the owner came by to yell at us in Portuguese, complain we used the bathroom, and in short, say no money, no eat. We paid the 4 euros and as we walked out the door the owner was outside. We can only assume he was swearing at us in Portuguese as we walked away. I 'm a fair person and if it was customary to pay for a bread basket (with no butter) and some olives per person I would happily pay 2 euros/person and leave an additional euro as a tip. But we 've been in Portugal for a week and this just felt like a SCAM.
