La Matanza Castellana - Alicante

It is always difficult in touristic cities to find good and traditional food. For this, La Matanza is a good choice, with reasonable price. Service is excellent and attentive (one of our plate was too spicy, it was changed immediately ... with a smile). Congratulations to the waiters. Meat (especially the cordero asado) is delicious. A good choice !

This place was probably the highlight of our dining experience in Alicante. Good honest Spanish food and amazing service. We left at the end of the evening with smiles on our faces having enjoyed the food and the fact that we had been made so welcome with our (very) limited use of the Spanish language. We opted to eat from the tapas menu and it was all great, accompanied by a never ending supply of bread. The highlight was the minced black pudding (morcilla), it was just amazing when spread on the crusty bread. The house red, served in a blank bottle was lovely and the price for such a great night was less than 40 euro !!

Ate there twice and both times were excellent if you like meat. From ribs to steaks to beans with ham everything was delicious.

Good price ratio quality. proper attention and regular decoration.

Your 400 gr shot is very good for a spectacular person. the waiters cannot be more kind and polite. I have two visits and I assure you, third, fourth.
