Everything has been tasty and home made with a sympatic and polite service. They have a little terrace that seats three persons, which is lovely. Many restaurants are closed during siesta hours, but this one stays open.
Enjoy is a local cafe run by a mother and son team in Alicante, Spain, close to the theatre, five minutes from the beach. It seems to be a local hangout/sports bar, and a place where you can have a meal, a beer and tapas, or the special of the day. We had a delicious lunch here on two consecutive days. Ii can highly recommend the crema de verda, a yeasty puréed soup. You can choose grilled fish, chicken or a pork dish as your main course. Dessert was an amazing Coffee flavoured creme caramel, one of the best I have ever had! They also of few little extras a bowl of salad and olives as a starter with your beer, which is included with lunch. The whole meal costs nine euros, and you walk out of here smiling! The cafe is run by nice, friendly people and the food sings, Try it, if you are in Alicante. Noreen Montreal, Canada
We've had a week on Alicante, staying in a hotel and not going for the more expensive hotel breakfast. Instead, this café is just round the corner in Calle Castaños (Alfonso X El Sabio end) and does a budget priced and just-right breakfast of tostadas (half a sliced baguette, toasted) with coffee and wonderfully fresh orange juice. After late night Tapas this is all you need and indeed the main breakfast offered by cafés here. The family who run EnJoy have UK connections too and so provide a really nice cup of tea! The café is popular with people living and working in the area, which makes it ideal for visitors who like to sample local life and not just be with other tourists. We've had a friendly welcome each morning and this has set us up for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
