Contribuiți la feedbackWe asked a local to recommend a place for Paella... what a great recommendation! The atmosphere is delightful, the service charming, and the Paella lived up to our very high expectations. We had the seafood one which we would highly recommend but all the other we watched being served looked pretty perfect too. So if you only have a short time in Alicante and want to try excellent paella...look no further
I had lunch here. The place is a little bit away from the centre so this is a true hidden gem . The place was full of local people, but I was able to get a small corner table. They had different fixed price menus with mostly seafood. The big thing seemed to be different kinds of paella (or arroz as they call it in Alicante so I had some octopus for starter and some seafood arroz for main. The food was wonderful all the way so I don 't wonder, why the place was full. I had some white wine by glass (2,25€ which was very good and one of the cheapest in Alicante. I had some much worse wines while staying in Alicante although the price level is always quite cheap. This was one one the best meals while in Alicante and I would come back here any time.
Though you need to get used to Spanish restaurant 's opening hour, it closes at 17:00. I was glad that I was able to find a table after 10 ' waiting. There is no English menu, so I just chose what others tables were eating, which was a very practical way. I chose a kind of fish, min. 2 portion, the sauce was light and delicious, and it was served by potato and Paella. The service was good, he chose a local salad with fish kind of 'salami ', very tasty. Also tried some shells. Better to go by a big group, so that you could try all kinds of sea food. Local wine is sweet and smooth. It was a wonderful experience to me to try several new dishes.
