Bar Restaurante Pollo Caporal

I have been visiting this fried chicken restaurant for over 40 years. It used to make KFC look rubbish, serving delicious fried chicken and real chips with good salads and beer at very good prices. It was always busy but clean and tidy, with good service. Unfortunately on a recent visit things have drastically changed for the worse. It took forever to get someone to serve us and we were the only people there we should have known from this, maybe... We ordered salad, chicken and chips, and it was only once they had served the (reheated) chicken and chips they told us they had run out of salad! On reflection the place looks grubby in fact dirty. It smelled of stale frying oil, and the food was awful. Such a shame, it was a simple restaurant with a niche market, so easy to maintain an image like this but they have ruined it.

There was not too much choice on the menu, although the place itself was reasonably clean and the staff friendly enough. Just ate and left, did not feel like a place to sit and stay for longer.

A very special fried and marinated chicken due to its pressure friction, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, very tasty at a more than reasonable price, to eat at the restaurant and/or to carry,

Very well done and very good economic prices, I think to repeat.
