Contribuiți la feedbackCame here to grab some lunch and sat at the table for 20+ minutes without a server even coming near us. They looked at us about five times and didn't even bother bringing menus over. Poor service considering they weren't busy at all. We left after waiting forever without anyone bothering to come. Despite Yelp saying they were closed today, they were open for the Labor Day holiday.
Riverboat Bar and Restaurant is always one of our stops when visiting Alexandria Bay. I love the sailboat bar, it represents the Bay so well. It's just a fun atmosphere! It seems every visit Megan is behind the bar, serving drinks and tending bar with a smile and always offering great recommendations! They frequently have live bands and are jamming. There is a sit down restaurant and outdoor patio that we have dined in as well. I ordered the Riverboat Burger on our second visit of the weekend. It was pink and juicy with Mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and for a twist pineapple! Fries were seasoned well, I will definitely be ordering again! We will back!
We went over Labor Day weekend so it was extremely busy. Definitely not the restaurants fault I suppose but it took forever for food to come out. The waiters seemed surprised it was so busy which was odd considering it's a restaurant in Alex Bay on a holiday weekend. We ordered the bruschetta bread which came out hot, usually bruschetta is cold but it was very good and there was a good appetizer portion for 3-4 people. It was the fastest item to come out. We ordered two different burgers, one was the blue cheese burger, the other was a classic burger. We also ordered the stuffed shells and vodka pasta with meatballs. The restaurant itself is cute, beautiful old home on one side that has a lot of charm still. Outdoor seating was nice, we sat outside since it was nice out. The other side is a full bar situation. The burgers and fries were okay, really just okay and nothing more. The pasta with meatballs was not very good. Normally my daughter would finish a plate of pasta and meatballs, she was starving and didn't finish it. The pasta wasn't cooked all the way, not even al dente they were just undercooked. She also only ate 1/2 of a meatball because they were not very good. The best meal honestly was the stuffed shells. Sauce is supposed to be homemade per the menu, it was very delicious and cooked to perfection. I should have taken a better picture of the menu because there was none to be found online or yelp but I forgot. We landed here on a whim because in general most of the restaurants lack good reviews in this area.
This restaurant was pretty good! My husband and I stopped here on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a beer each. The food was fresh, hot, and yummy. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the mahi-mahi. The service was prompt and attentive. Next time we return we will try some pasta dishes!
Pretty solid place. My husband and I stopped in here for a quick bite and just got a chicken finger sub. It's not a difficult dish but it was a good sub. The chicken fingers we plentiful, the veggies fresh and the bread was good. The fries it came with were solid. I do wish the sauce was spicier. Just a solid sub for a fair price.
