A busy spot at lunchtime with large portions of comfort food at very reasonable prices. My chicken tenders with two sides and bread was only $13.31, including tax. A great place for breakfast to start your day in Old Town. Located close to the Metro.

It's great to have an affordable restaurant in Old Town, and Bob and Edith's latest location maintains their high standard of diner fare. I just had lunch with a friend, and found food and service excellent. The coffee, a mdeium dark roast (Dakota Blend) was both excellent and bottomless. my grilled cheese w bacon and tomato a classic example of a time honored diner option, as was my friend Riley's club sandwich...which I was sorely tempted to steal a quarter of. We'll beback again I'm sure. Maybe we'll go for breakfast next time...that corned beef hash looks fine to me.

We decided to give it an opportunity even though we try to eat in places with better reviews, and it was the right decision. Great place for breakfast in Old Town Alexandria. The food and service were excellent!
