They had a food truck outside to grab a bite. The bartender was great and helped us with recommendations. He even supplied some flavorings for one of the beers (a cider or sour I can't remember). They had a yoga class going on in the back room area which was cool. The bathrooms were especially nice and had amenities if you needed them. And there is a baby changing station in both bathrooms. Having kids there wasn't looked down upon. It also wasn't rowdy. There are a ton of games for kids and adults! Under the stairs they even have a walker, a high chair and a pack and play for babies!!! The beers we're a great selection, from light to heavy, Including a sour or 2. You can do a flight of 4 which was nice. And they were decent flights. Me and hubby split one before deciding on a pint each. Not a huge place, but good for small groups, and families. I'll definitely be making a stop every time we're in the area and have time!
I was truly impressed with Alexandria Brewing! You walk in and the place is so spacious with plenty of seating. The back area had more seating with free games (pinball, arcade, foosball, etc). They also have board games in the front. We really loved the selection of music they were playing at the time-Punk/Grunge. We were greeted and the staff was super friendly. Since they have a great selection of beers, we decided to get two flights! (4 per flight) We ordered: -ABC BORTZ BIER (Schwarzbier) -ABC/DARKNESS HAUS OF SCWARZ AND WIT (IPA Black -ABC RANDOM RAP REFERENCE: Dee Lite (New England IPA) -ABC CECILIA'S GRACE (Belgian Quad) -ALEXANDRIA ALL UP IN YOUR BERLINER (Sour-Berliner Weisse) -ABC ANN'S SWEET WHITE ALE (Witbier) -ABC ALEXANDRIA AMBER (Red Ale) -ABC HAZY RIVER (New England IPA) My fave was the black IPA and Belgian Quad. Great quality and taste. Hungry? Enjoy some bbq at the The Four Mile Pig. My Mr and I grabbed a dozen of wings which were very tasty and seasoned well. They do sell T-Shirts/Hoodies, Growlers to go and have a wide screen TV to watch sports. We had a great time and look forward to coming back! What an awesome place!
There are some places when, as soon as you walk through the doors, you already know you're gonna love. I've been to my share of breweries (Seriously! Check out my other reviews if you don't believe me! , and many I've liked after some time and a few brews, but Alexandria Brewing practically made me a fan right as I walked through the door. Trust me, this place ROCKS!! My lady and I decided to check it out together. As soon as we walked in, we heard Bad Religion playing, which happens to be one of my favorite punk bands (Their music selection featured loads of punk and some chill reggae tunes too. . That combined with the open, laid back atmosphere really impressed us from the get go, and we already had a feeling we'd enjoy it all. For beers, we opted on two flights, featuring a mixture of different ABC brews; All Up In Your Berliner Berliner weiss, Anne's Sweet White Ale witbier, Alexandria Amber amber ale, Bortz Bier schwarzbier, Haus of Schwarz and Wit black IPA, Deee-lite IPA, Hazy River NE IPA, and Cecilia's Grace Belgian quadruple ale. Each one was VERY impressive and tasty. The stand-outs to me though were the Bortz Bier, Haus of Schwarz and Wit, Hazy River, and Cecilia's Grace. Definitely all must-try brews in my opinion! And if you arrive hungry, like my lady and I did, grab some goodness from Four Mile Pig, making some tasty barbecue right on sight. We indulged in the wings, which you can get in either sweet BBQ, Buffalo style, or dry rub. We opted for the dry rub, which was a GREAT decision! Those wings were legit some of the best I've EVER had! Seasoned and cooked to pure perfection! They also feature pulled pork, smoked chicken, Nashville hot chicken, and ribeye steak. I think I'll order the loaded fries next time (pulled pork on crispy coated fries topped with cheddar cheese . This place is family friendly too, with something for everyone. Check out the back room, where not only can you see where all the magic happens (brewing those delicious beers , but you can also enjoy some classic video games and pinball. Or just bring the gang and watch a game on their HUGE projection TV while enjoying a few pints. Everything about this place rocks! The beer, the atmosphere, the beer, the food, the beer, the games, the beer, the music... Did I mention the beer? Yes? Okay then. Make this place a destination on your next brewery trip! I'm sure you'll say it rocks too!
Ok, I've been to MANY breweries. Seen MANY tap rooms. They have to have the right feel and look. This place is legitimate. Not only do they have really good beers, but they have a few different settings that make you feel at home. The Bar: you can talk beers with the tender. The Brewery: industrial, you can talk with the actual brewer and see where it is brewed(! . There's a tap room that is fun, hi-tops, low-tops, for big, small top parties. Also outdoors for pets and smokers. These beers are worth it. Their brewer knows what he's doing!!!
We tried this brewery a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! We have been there a couple times a week since and just can't get enough. The beers are amazing and I have not tried one I did not like. They have wonderful service from the food truck to the bar and all of the staff are very knowledgeable about the beer options and types of beer. The brewery offers a variety of different events each week as well. There is plenty of parking and seating options. I look forward to going back soon!
