Black Water Tap Tavern - Alden

This restaurant is located in a small town with limited dining options, but I would definitely return. I ordered a cheeseburger, which was great, while my friend had a steak that she thought was just mediocre. The place has a casual, bar-like vibe, so I opted for a burger, as bars typically serve delicious ones! The ambiance includes a fireplace and the service was excellent. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of the steak disappointment.

They didn't mess up the order and they were kind enough to make no star, but the chicken bacon Ranch I ordered was disgusting. 1 piece of undercopper with a large piece of frozen roasted chicken meat, which was cooked over until it felt like shoe leather. Maybe it was a one-time thing, but I won't go back to find out.

This is a place I visit frequently. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is fantastic. During my last visit, I had the filet mignon, and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the freshly cut fries.

I ordered the sweet chili, a bit of sweet and a bit of heat, extra crispy ? they were the best!!! Next day had leftovers, put them in the air fryer 7 minutes ? they were great. Good cold too.

Met with some fellow retirees for lunch and was truly amazed. Quick service , food was really outstanding. I have to say , the wait staff was more that attentive but not hovering over us. I will definitely be back and bringing friends with me for sure!!
