Pao De Alcobaca

We walked from home, and managed to work up a healthy appetite for the three course lunch that we would enjoy. Due to the restrictions earlier in the year we have not been to this restaurant since last year. The menu is still good value for money. We had the usual paté, bread and cheese, soup, chicken, chips, rice and migas. We both had wine and two bottles of water followed by coffee. The price was very good at ca. €21.50. The desserts however, seem to be lacking in choice and quality, we have had much better desserts than what was on offer when we visited there the other day......

Working just up the road, we went there a couple of times, each time taking advantage of the lunchtime menu, Soup to start using locally grown ingredients was incredibly tasty, followed by the main course, both the chicken and the pork were cooked beautifully, full of taste and considering the cost the portions were not shy, all this followed with dessert. To say the lunch menu cost 10 Euro for a 3 course lunch with either beer or wine, the value was amazing, as was the flavour and size of the meals, I would definitely recommend and if in the area would have no hesitation in returning
