The Shrimp Dock – Alcoa/maryville

WAY WAY WAY overpriced! $35 for 2 take-out dinners- got 3 SMALL pieces of fried cod, a 3” corn on the cob (looks like it was from frozen package), a SMALL scoop of rice, 1/2 cup steamed broccoli. Will NOT be back

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They had a large selection of fresh seafood, and you can order off the menu or choose a piece of fish from the case, which they will weigh and cook how you want it. This is a very casual place. You order at the counter and find yourself a seat. My husband had fried oysters, and I had the shrimp tacos, which were made with little fried shrimp. We both really enjoyed our meals. I would get the tacos again without the remoulade because it was a bit much with coleslaw they put on the tacos. The potato salad was excellent!

First time eating here, big menu selection for lunch. Staff very pleasant and helpful with the menus.

Having grown up in Maryland, I have been very excited about this place for a long time. Unfortunately I am not able to support their business monetarily because they do not accept checks. Shrimp Dock previously accepted checks. I have no idea why they would not want my money. The managers just need to inform the clerks of the proper way to take a check; write down the drivers license number on the check, etc)In addition, I have never received a smile from any of the clerks; not under the previous ownership, nor the new one. Good customer service is very important for the success of a business.let me know when you start accepting checks please

Just stopped in because I was in the area. Arctic char was one of the best blackened fish I have had in the Knoxville area. The usuals problem around here is that the fish is old and often overcooked. This one was perfect.
