The Cellar - Alcester

This place has recently changed ownership. We were surprised to find that it's now a beautiful Italian restaurant called La Galleria, which has an impressive menu. (The previous owners didn't update their social media, so we were unaware of the change.) The pizza we ordered was among the best we've ever had! If you're short on time, just order a pizza to make a quick escape. The prices are reasonable, and we plan to try some of the other dishes on the menu as they sound delicious!

A true hidden gem! The food is beautiful and authentic, prepared from scratch with a focus on nutritional needs and taste preferences. The hospitality was impeccable; our party of 10 was well taken care of all night. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend it and would visit again.

The most amazing eating, with the best customer service I have seen in years, great staff and great eating what else they need!? they offered half proportions for our children and offered to change the ingredients of the food to suit us. I would strongly recommend it and will use it again. No wonder they've been there for 25 years.

You can't help but notice that the location, along with three competing restaurants nearby, likely attracts more customers in a traditional setting. This is a shame, because while the food is arguably the best in the area, the ambiance is lacking. The decor is stuck in the 1980s, with outdated photos, peeling floor varnish, and visible holes and cables under the fire door—it all feels very dated. If they could relocate the restaurant to the nearby Sean Hotel, it would elevate the experience dramatically! I absolutely love the food, but I’m not sure I can endure the current setting for much longer.

Great place. Proper vaulted cellar, nice and cool in today's summer heat. Indian food, I don't do spicy so they fixed me up with korma. They also do European food. Very helpful.
