I came at 9 o'clock on a Friday and our table was within approx. 5 minutes for a party of 8. 3. prices good, but the portions are quite large crowds with to go container 4. cleanliness well no complaining 5. menu quite dared huge for a place that is open for only breakfast lunch 6 . the food: here come the 3 stars. my co breakfast dinners all have big teller with tons eating and chili tips. they all said they were happy with the taste, temperature, etc. I have a traditional eggs and bacon. I found my friends, and they believed me and believed me. the bacon was bad. I don't send food back to the kitchen because I don't want my teller to be naked, I don't eat a microwave. So I ate my meal and was happy that everyone else was happy. one of 8 disappointments is not bad? they still have space to improve.
Vicks is a good old standard which i dont get over to half as often as id like. From the long tradition of NM greeks we get a great mix of country cooking with greek flare and NM flavor backing it up.. not fancy but you wont leave hungry.
The vaquero breakfast chicken fried steak smothered in green chile is massive and really good. Food and service were great!
Had the biscuits and gravy, it was good. The place was full and still they were able to bring out my food within 2 minutes. Staff were friendly, good atmosphere.
Vic's is in my top 3 diners for ABQ. I really love this place. You could pick anything off the menu and be happy with it but my favorites are the chicken fried steak smothered with gravy, or if I wanna go healthy the oatmeal or Greek yogurt covered with fresh fruit. The biscuits are . Go early because sometimes the biscuits run out there can be a bit of a wait on the weekends. There's a nice patio area to sit outside while it's not too hot during the summer as well.
