Takumi - Albuquerque

We absolutely loved this place! It's the best hibachi in Albuquerque. A big shoutout to Tim, the fantastic chef at the grill! The food was top-notch quality and offered at a great price. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is fantastic! The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is consistently excellent. I ordered the salmon dish, and it was incredible! I also sampled the beef noodles, scallops, and the ultimate crunch roll, and everything was delightful! Although it's on the pricey side, it's definitely worth it! I can't wait to try more dishes next time!

On our first visit, we enjoyed the pirate ship Shabu Shabu featuring seafood, as well as a sushi combination. The hotpot was served bubbling with a flavorful fog broth and a rich beef broth. It was a fun and simple dining experience, complete with utensils and two types of strainers, allowing us to customize our broth. Our waitress was friendly and provided insightful guidance on the best order for cooking the food for optimal timing. However, I have to update my review for Takumi, where I've recently downgraded our rating despite being a long-time patron. We love coming here for date nights and special occasions. During our latest visit, we arrived around 7 PM on a Saturday and requested a table for Shabu Shabu, only to be informed that there were none available. So, we opted for a sushi table instead, thinking it wouldn’t take long to be seated. After waiting in the car for a full hour, we asked for an update. My boyfriend noticed that they had skipped over our name on the list and ended up serving about ten customers who arrived after us. We never received a call, which was incredibly frustrating. Sitting in the cold car, hungry and waiting, only to find out we had been overlooked was disappointing—especially since we were a party of two and didn't require a special table setup. On a positive note, the managers and chefs were friendly and arranged a special cooking performance for us, along with a small discount on our bill. Nonetheless, it felt uncomfortable watching larger groups around us being served when all we wanted was sushi, not hibachi. I genuinely hope to return and have a better experience, but I am concerned about the service after this experience, which left a sour impression. Dining here is not cheap, and we work hard for our money. We expect decent treatment and not to feel forgotten or ignored. That said, the manager was attentive during our meal, ensuring we had a good experience despite the initial issues. Just be prepared to keep an eye on the time if you decide to eat here.

Had a fun, tasty tapan dinner experience here. Great serving of lobster and scallops for the entree and a delicious sushi roll for an appetizer. Mango beer was great. Used Synergie gift card here. Entertaining and fun cooking

I was excited to eat at this location but they need to get their kitchen managed properly. Waited over an hour for ONE sushi roll. Never received said roll. Watched multiple other patrons get their dishes while I sat and waited, never even heard from my server until I complained to other staff. The food we did receive was cold and incorrect from what I ordered. They didn't fail to charge me for the fried rice I never received. Never offered to comp the meal or even the appetizers. Warned some folks at the door and they left too. Watched them walk out a few minutes later. Had high hopes, but never again.
