Padillas Mexican Kitchen - Albuquerque

We stopped at this restaurant while driving through Albuquerque, NM, and found ourselves craving some delicious Mexican food. It's conveniently located just a short distance from the freeway. The place is impressively clean, the service is exceptional, and, as anticipated, the food is fantastic. I decided to break my vegetarian diet and ordered a Chicken Enchilada because it sounded irresistible, and most of the menu options include meat. Our food arrived promptly, and the waiter recommended we try the Sopapillas with honey. They're definitely worth a visit all on their own. Be sure not to pass this place up!

The food was incredibly delicious, with reasonable prices and generous portions! It was my first experience with New Mexican cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. I would definitely return if I’m ever in the area again!

This place deserves more than five stars! The food is simply incredible and reasonably priced. The staff is incredibly friendly, too. When a restaurant is cash-only, you know it's special, and it certainly lived up to the hype. The enchiladas were fantastic, and the #1 combo was so delicious that I'm still craving it a day later. I can't recommend this place enough!

Good, no frills NM food! Service is always quick and friendly. We’ve never had a problem placing a to-go order. It is good but not the best NM food in the whole city however, to be fair, there is a lot of competition. The chile could be spicier and a bit more flavorful. But if you’re looking for good prices, decent portion sizes, and to support a local family owned restaurant, this is your place. Seems like there are a lot of regulars. Keep in mind-they only accept cash so be prepared! This is something to remember since most of us in the younger generations don’t generally carry cash.

Absolutely the best beef burrito I've ever had! Quesadilla was served open faced (which was weird, but my son loved it and I know I will have to serve them to him this way from now on). Fresh chips and salsa, reasonable drink prices, and healthy servings. Rice and beans were outstanding too! My dinner came with a basket of sopapillas and those were a HIT! Douse those bad boys in honey and DEVOUR! Staff came up regularly to chat and mingle... And made recommendations for what to get. If you want family style New Mexican food with TONS of flavor, do not miss out on this place! Side Note this place is CASH only. There is weird little red ATM box out front that is empty, so I had to end up running to a gas station to get enough to cover the meal and tip. Even with that, I'd do it the same a hundred times over. Absolutely fantastic!!!
