Silks Restaurant - Albion

I recently attended a work Christmas party at this venue. The long tables were set up in a crowded room that was lacking air conditioning or fans, and there were no toilets in the area - guests had to go into the main building or use portable toilets. The overall facility of the venue left much to be desired. The tables were placed so closely together that when someone wanted to get food or step outside to watch the races, everyone at the table had to stand up or move out of the way. This seemed to be a tactic to discourage guests from going back to the buffet too many times. It was so cramped that even the staff had difficulty cleaning the tables or serving guests their drinks. They had to pass drinks over the heads of guests to reach them. Considering the amount of money spent on this buffet, the experience was quite disappointing.

In 2015, the restaurant does not accept electronic payments.

The only thing that has made my summer in Brisbane bearable is indulging in plenty of gelato. Summer in Brisbane can be tough, but delicious gelato helps make it more enjoyable.
