River Edge Resort Steakhouse - Alberton

I want to clarify that my rating doesn't reflect the staff—they are AMAZING, friendly, and professional! However, the changes being implemented are likely to have a negative impact on the restaurant. The menu has been significantly reduced, and on many occasions, items were simply unavailable. Tonight, we learned that the salad bar now comes with an extra charge, soup is also an additional cost, and the worst part is that they only serve Prime Rib Steaks two days a week. While they're making these cuts to save money and reduce waste, they plan to build a large new pavilion by the river. It’s puzzling because people will flock to a steakhouse that offers only 2 or 3 cuts of meat, and with so many other items out of stock. To make matters worse, the front-of-house staff ends up bearing the brunt of frustrated customers, even though they are not to blame.

The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't find what I was looking for on the menu, which only offered tacos, steak, or burgers. I thought we were at a steakhouse, but I guess I was mistaken. We've always enjoyed our meals there in the past, but it will take a while for us to venture out from Missoula to dine again. Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied and chose not to stay for a meal.

We had a great stay and dinner here where we were on our way to Washington. We were in the RV park and were able to climb to the river as it was hot this summer. The first-class rib dinner we had was cooked for perfection and the Clam Appetizer was the perfect start for dinner. It was busy, but the waiters were at the top of things and stopped with the masses. We'd come back when we're in the area. Or we might have to drive a road, the main rib was so good!

We were at the motel next door, so I ate here a few times, and can highly recommend. Extremely friendly staff (I even forgot my wallet one day and they trusted me to start a tab for my meal! . Your breakfast cakes were by far my favorite thing perfectly crispy and a great side to my eggs. The coffee was a fantastic morning and a little weak next time very small.

May 2021: What a fantastic place with a wonderful group of people! The food is absolutely delicious, and they are very accommodating when it comes to food allergies. Every staff member is friendly and makes you feel welcome. We've visited several times during our travels in Montana and have never been disappointed. A big shout-out to everyone for a job well done!
