4.5 stars! I really enjoy EIS; their raw fish is incredibly fresh. It's a great neighborhood gem that you should definitely check out if you're in the area. The sushi and sashimi platter is enormous and the selection is delicious. The new style scallop sashimi was excellent, and so was the steak. Although they didn’t have plum wine on their menu, they kindly offered to find some for me. If I'm being picky, there were a couple of minor issues. The service was a bit slow, but I sympathize with the lone staff member, especially as the restaurant got busier and the second server didn't arrive until around 7 PM. The edamame beans had a few pieces that were overly salted, as if they hadn't been tossed properly. Additionally, the chawanmushi was overcooked; while the flavors were lovely, the texture was disappointing. Food: 4, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
