Ordered a simple burger with fries and a grilled chicken salad. The burger was the size of a half dollar and it literally came with 10 fries. The salad was lettuce, 4 croutons and a piece of chicken that would feed a toddler. Wine was $10 a glass....way over priced. Had to order wings cause hubby was still hungry. $12.99 for 10 wings that were the size of my thumb. Will not be back anytime soon.
By far the worst service and food we’ve had in a very long time. From the hostess to the waitress and the awful food that we received an hour later.....and only after we flagged down the waitress who had not returned to our table once since serving water and our microwaved appetizer. I guess we learned our lesson........you get what you pay for!! Avoid this dump!
We had an early reservation (4:45PM) as we had tickets to a show that evening. The restaurant was not crowded, a number of open tables. Our server was pleasant and efficient. But when the food arrived one meal was cold (steak) another was not cooked well enough (medium hamburger that was medium rare at best). Our server took each back with apologies and a promise of new meals. The manager came over as well and apologized. When the meals were returned the steak looked as if it had been microwaved, difficult to cut. And the hamburger was rare. It looked like it had been thrown on a grill for only a few minutes. As we needed to leave we asked for the check. Again, our server was good. She acted professional and apologized a number of times. But there was obviously an issue in the kitchen as the 2 orders were of poor quality and it happened twice.
There were only two or three other tables with people where we were seated on Thurs at 4:45pm yet the service was not very good at all. It was the emptiest I've ever seen TGI Fridays. The waitress seemed a little scattered and not completely focused. She borrowed my pen bc hers was not working to take our order. She was friendly enough but not attentive enough. We had to ask for things multiple times. She brought our drinks, didn't offer water, but took ten minutes to bring straws even after we had to ask for them. Same with water. No refills offered on our drinks. Oh well she did ask if my friend wanted another beer. All our food didn't come out at the same time. My friend's onion rings came out 10min later and another waiter brought it out and offered to wrong table a couple places ahead of us. No other tables were occupied yet after they told her it wasn't theirs, instead of bringing to our table she started walking back to kitchen. I had to shout to get her attention for her to bring to us. So ridiculous. The nachos we ordered (without chicken) had watery queso on it instead of shreaded cheese which I thought was standard for nachos. They also salted the chips. It was almost inedible which was unfortunate bc it was the only thing remotely vegetarian my friend could have. Go someplace else. This used to be a good place to eat (last time I was here was 3 yrs ago since I no longer live in Albany) but I am never going back there to eat again. We still tipped 15% but it was worth maybe a dollar tip if that.
Food was fine nothing special. Had a chicken salad with sparse candied walnuts.
