Charming restaurant with great staff and amazing comfort food. Our server, Amy, was amazing. Very friendly and attentive. Love the decor. If you want a life-changing experience, try the pot with potatoes. The severity will change your life. I could drink it!

Excellent! It's not a restaurant. All homemade. Service is top notch with some servers with over 30 years on the job. It's called Grandma's Pies for a reason! More varieties of homemade cakes than you will ever see anywhere else... Do not miss this place in your Journies!!!

A wonderful jewel! Our first visit to Albany and found Grandmas cake a restaurant. The menu has a bit of everything, from soup to seafood, liver and onions, chicken, salads and of course, cakes. The menu has at least 20 goals to choose each day. I had blueberry cake with vanilla ice cream for dinner and a cup of steaming hot fresh coffee. My son had the liver and onions (it was not seasoned or salted). He likes it. May always add your own salt or pepper to your own taste. It was served with crisp bacon, and it came with 3 pages! He chose spinach salad with lemon vinaigrette, cole slaw and apple sauce. The apples were definitely fresh. He has his delicious meal (boiled perfectly! with the special cake of the season: Betsey Ross pie. This is a banana cream pipe with huge ripe strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. The fresh whipped cream is the right thing, guys. Not cool. It's not too sweet. Everything was excellent. The service was also the first price. I highly recommend this place!

Very cozy. The facility was great... Both the place in general and the decorations. They all went for St. Patty's day and I heard they do the same for every holiday. It didn't try food, but it's dessert cake. Her lemon balm is very lemon and sour and her strawberry robe cake is not too sweet (it's just right! The only thing that wasn't super tasteful was the medallion itself at the top of the cake. The server was very sweet and attentive.

Good but not fantastic. A+ for the food. Environment is good and decoration is appropriately themed. However, service is slow. The time I went there it took approximately 15 minutes between the time we ordered drinks before the waiter returned to get our actual order. Also, given ordering and everything is done at the table no reason for them to require you to pay at the counter. A bit cold inside the place. Not enough heating.
