What a gem. This place is outstanding. So different from any other Chinese I’ve ever had and my husband and I absolutely loved it. This place has a lot of what I assume are traditional Chinese dishes which was really cool. We don’t have super adventurous palettes so we got the Pork Dumplings in Hot Oil, the Szechuan Style Shredded Beef, and the Chongqing Spicy Chicken (not pictured). I cannot emphasize enough how amazing everything was. We are still talking about it two days later!! Portions are huge and the leftovers were just as good. I’m extremely sad we live 4 hours away otherwise we would eat here every week! Although it’s not entirely out of the question to drive 8 hours round trip for this place!!
AMAZING food! The dishes are SO delicious, great portions. Ingredients are fresh, cooked perfectly, and the food comes out quick and hot! Our go-tos are the hot and spicy pork intestine (try it! , hot and spicy shrimp with shell, sautéed Chinese broccoli, and most recently: the sliced beef with wild peppers. Unbelievable. The owner is friendly and attentive. I can't wait to continue trying more dishes. I hope they make it through the challenges of Covid, I'd be sad to see such a great restaurant close it's doors!
FAST! FRIENDLY! CLEAN! DELICIOUS! HUGE PORTIONS! We stopped by this restaurant on a rather quiet Saturday night. The staff was super duper friendly, and very well experienced (the cooks are from Chengdu). I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup with Shanghai noodles for $12. The food came out VERY QUICKLY (the fastest of any restaurant I've ever been to). The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were so generous I almost exploded after eating! I would love to return here and suggest that you visit them!
This place surprised us! We have been on the lookout for spicy Chinese food and I believe we have found one of the better places in The capital region. The spicy chicken and spicy shrimp were both deep fried and covered in chili peppers, not too spicy, but the best we have had in this area! The beef in spicy broth was not spicy at all, even though it looks like it ought to be. Definitely will be back!
