Ba's Vietnamese Comfort Food - Albany

What a treasure Ba's is. The place is well decorated and has an open friendly atmosphere. We were greeted as we entered as were other customers . We did not feel hurried to select a dish. My wife had the Banh Mi and I chose the goi cuon shrimp salad roll and a side order of their house kimchi which was some of the best I have tasted with an excellent texture . The food was excellent, the service was unobtrusive. We really liked this place and will go back to try other dishes.

We just returned to Oregon after spending 7 years in SE Asia. We’ve been trying the local Asian restaurants and have been enjoying the experience but nothing has quite matched up with what we were use to in Cebu …. Until now.Dining at Ba was an enjoyable experience from the moment we walked through the door. The owner Ken greeted us at the counter and was very helpful and gracious. We ordered the Pho and Shrimp Salad rolls and took a seat one one of the tables in the dining area.Behind us was two tables of Vietnamese young folks enjoying the evening and the food. It was fun to hear them banter back and forth and took us back to our experiences in many Vietnamese restaurants that we ate at abroad.As for the food Ken and his wife (forgive me but I don’t recall her name) nailed it! The Pho was excellent and pairing it with the delicious Shrimp salad rolls was perfect.We only live a few miles from the restaurant but I’m certain we would travel a much longer distance to enjoy their food. We will definitely become regular customers.

Seriously good Vietnamese food I never expected to find in Albany. The family got hit hard with medical difficulty recently, so the hours have been changing, but man was it worth the wait.The ginger chicken fed two people for a day and it was a GOOD day. The appetizers were fantastic too, I can't wait to go back for the sandwiches.If you're big on flavor ask for extra sauce, it's DELICIOUS

The beef pho base is sourer than I like but people have different preferences. It was very crowded at dinner time. Staff are all very friendly.
