I've never been disappointed by a wine, cheese, or snack recommendation from this wonderful shop. I've sourced all our new favorites from here with their recommendations.

Really terrible service for Mother 's Day. My daughter ordered some sort of charcuterie plate as a gift for me. She received a text at 9:30am that it would be delivered to me by 11am and she called me to wish me a HMD and told me to watch for a delivery by 11am (since a lot of contactless delivery people are not ringing the doorbell; they just leave the package,k one needs to be aware and check for deliveries especially food items) and I did. At 11:20am, I texted to let her know I had checked; nothing had arrived yet but I would keep checking. Turns out she had been sent an 'order cancelled ' text message at some point between 9:30am and 11:20am cancelling the order; no call, no apologies, no 'what else can we offer and discount for your trouble ' given it is NOW Mother 's Day today and clearly nothing was ordered anymore. Daughter called Farmstead to find out why order was cancelled and the answer was they had run out of whatever she had ordered and they were not taking any new orders. Her order wasn 't new, it was an OLD order they cancelled and obviously would not replace with anything else. The point is: terrible customer service, do not rely on them for anything that has any kind of scheduled date because this is the potential outcome order cancelled and it 's just too bad for you. Really disappointing but a good warning.

A full on cheese and wine shop located inside Alameda Natural Grocery. I stop by after noticing cheese display sadly no samples were given due to pandemic, but I managed to learned more about cheese and wine pairing. The lady at counter was knowledgeable often refer me to cabernet sauvignon and aged gouda base on what I tell her that gouda is my favorite cheese. I browse a little more before thanking her for her time. I know where to stop by if I ever do need wine and cheese. This is a fantastic spot for amazing cheeses and wines! They have an extensive selection and are consistently able to provide authentic recommendations and valuable advice. I particularly adore the goat gouda truffle cheese they offer! This place is a must-visit when you're in Alameda.
