I asked for another table as there were several tables available for two people, but the host refused. Our backs were at the open door of the restaurant that makes the experience less than pleasant. The food classes and the choices of wine were good, but I would ask for a better table at the next din in this restaurant.
C'era Una Volta is always excellent. Food and service the best.
We had the cowhunt for two. It was okay. Flavorful where we could get a bite, but really wish that the cut was trimmed, large pieces of meat were really just a mess of inedible (for us, at least), non-apparent looking fat. Pasta, who came with him, was similarly easy just ok, service was friendly, but a little dirty sometimes slow (e.g. wait for someone to have our drinks empty). It is a very beautiful looking, inviting room. If there are so many better restaurants in the area, it wouldn't bother to return to this price.
TOOK MY BOYFRIEND FOR CHRISTMAS EVE SPECIAL ,HAD TO WAIT TO LONG TO BE SEATED ,HAD TO GET UP AND ASK FOR SERVICE ALTHOUGH THE ROOM WAS NOT CROWDED, BREAD CAME WITH SOME WEIRD MUSTARD SAUCE.
I was given a semi-secluded table which was appropriate for the occasion. Shared a salad with candied walnuts which was tasty then had the salmon carpaccio that was good, too. My date enjoyed the filet mignon which was served medium rare, good, too. For dessert we enjoyed the lemon sorbet. I ended with a double espresso. The food was good but not outstanding, however the servers went out of their way to make my visit memorable. Kudos to them.
