Pesqueria Da Limonta - Alajuela

The place is quite and beautiful, familiar. the only way they can understand how it tastes is to go there. you will not regret it! the otopus was amazing! I don't have any words for the desert.

We ended our vacation in CR here and what a treat it was! The perfect way to end our visit. We started with a spicy/smokey margarita and mixed ceviche. Our server, Daniel, was very knowledgeable and offered several dishes as their specials. My husband had the fettuccine with rose sauce and shrimp and I went with the whole fish. I usually get the fried whole fish but Daniel recommended I try their grilled whole fish. It was the best fish I've ever had. My husband loved his pasta too, I managed to eat one piece and it is home made pasta. We had several people stop by our table to ask how things were and we couldn't be happier with our last experience. The whole place was nicely decorated with a beachy vibe.

We visited Pesqueria de Limonta on our last stop here before heading to the airport (SJO) in the morning. It turned a day where we had nothing planned into a very special experience. We had some amazing Ceviche and the Seven Mares special with Shrimp, Snapper, Lobster, Salmon, Prawns, Oysters, Octopus, plantains, and yucca. This place rocks! Our waiter, Daniel was very attentive and made some great recommendations. Definitely try the mescal margarita if available. We also met the owner, an Italian gentleman born in Rome but living in Costa Rica for 25 years. He is very passionate about the food, service, and making your experience memorable. A casual environment, but the best food I had in Costa Rica and better than many much more expensive high-end places I've eaten in the US. Highly recommended, especially as a stop before or after a trip at San Jose Airport (SJO).

Service was amazing, food was to die for! We had the fried fish and the seafood pasta dish but before that, we had the soup appetizer and OMG!! Actually, that appetizer was enough so we ended up taking the pasta which actually ended up going to waste because we were traveling the next day. A bit pricey but totally worth it! Oh, the Mango shake was something totally out of this world! Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return if and when we go back to Costa Rica!
