El Patacón - Alajuela

We ate at this place two days in a row because the patacons were so good! compared to others in the food offered opposite were the patacons with vegetables the right mix between healthy and delicious. we highly recommend it. in addition, the staff and owners were friendly and spoke English. the restaurant has a rustic atmosphere and the prices are fair.

I had arepas before I live in minnesota, so I decided to check this place. I had the fried green plantains filled with pork and the Colombian sausage arepas. amazing. the best I had in costa rica, although I did not really go to any chic restaurants. the Guava juice was also amazing and the service. they spoke English.

Beautiful clean place with good atmosphere. I was advertised by chifrijo on the sign. I know this is not Colombian, but I always grab a series of chifrijos when in cr.

The first soda we found in Alajuela, the food was good and the waitress was very nice and helpful, knowing that we don't speak Spanish and I only understand a little bit. Will try to find this place again before we leave Alajuela, Costa Rica back to Canada.

Awesome place! fresh colombian food in a clean and cozy spot. the empanadas and arepas were outstanding, as was the patacon plate. the salsas are made fresh and are incredible!
