Meson El Corcho - Alajar

The food chicken in breadcrumbs and pork loin with chips and salt to share was ok, but the service was pretty average. Not helped by the local football team derby match being on tv, but that 's no reason to ignore the diners. Maybe not the night to be eating out in Alajar, but there were more people in the bar not drinking that there were eating in the 'restaurant '.

A good choice for dinner (and lunch). Be warned the portions are huge and very tasty. The retaurants in the village have varied opening hours, many only open at weekends but El Corcho is open every day except Thursdays.

In town Monday Tuesday in January and this is the only restaurant open. However does not disappoint with good quality wines and local food. Decor is unique in a good way. Would visit again.
