Mi Apá Latin Café Of Alachua

I went at 8pm. The restaurant wasn?t busy. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I had the Picadillo empanada as a starter and Ropa Vieja entree with yellow rice and black beans. The food was merely warm, and I would?ve preferred it to be hot. I did not complain or ask it to be heated it. Even though it was only warm, the empanada pastry was crispy, and the picadillo was very well seasoned. The rice and the Ropa Vieja was very well seasoned as well. The black beanscould?ve been a little more seasoned, but they were black beans. I had a sweet tea which was very sweet, so I will go half sweet and half unsweetened next time. I will definitely be back for more.

Mi Apa serves satisfactory food at a reasonable price. We tried the Cuban sandwich and the Miami sandwich. The food was satisfactory, neither extraordinary in taste nor value. Worth a try if you are in the area. The drive thru ordering process was challenging to someone unfamiliar with the cuisine.

The food definitely needs more seasoning. The bread looked impressive, but it turned out to be overly crispy when we tried it. The staff were friendly, and they have a nice rewards system. The chicken in the sandwich de pollo was really tasty and quite generous in portion, but it had way too many onions for my liking. The meat on the Cubano was excellent. I regret not trying their fries because they looked appetizing. We only had to wait 10 minutes at 1 PM on a weekday, which was great.

This Cuban restaurant is fantastic! It's the best in Newberry! This was my first visit to this location, as I've been to the one in Gainesville before. I've been enjoying your Cuban sandwiches for seven years now! I might start making this a weekly stop on my way home from work, especially since it's just a 10-minute drive. I’ll definitely be back!

I have visited this location many times before, and I was always disappointed with their customer service. However, today, for the first time, I really enjoyed my drive-thru experience, thanks to Max. He was very respectful and had a positive attitude throughout the entire transaction. He made me feel welcome, and for the first time, I didn't regret coming to your store. I've been to all your other locations, but this one has consistently had poor customer service. So, thank you very much, Max, for changing my experience today!
