Vaccaro's Trattoria - Akron

Same thing happened last time we had dinner. It was not crowded total of 8 tables in dining room and 1 in bar were occupied. Reservations were at 6:30. Immediately seated. Took 10 minutes for server to come over and greet us. Service was so very, very poor. Asked for bread at 7:15. Said she brings it with salad. That was served at 7:30. Dinner wasn't served until 7:45. Food was very good but it took FOREVER. Same thing happened last time were were there in October. Short staffed in the kitchen??? Expensive for a dish of pasta and a dish with chicken.

Always great food, always great service. This restaurant is a gem.

I had filled hot banana peppers and they were tasteless, the black salmon was moderate and advertised as organic but waitress said it was wildly caught, who knows? The eggplant was sucking. However, presentation was good. We didn't cost anything for the price they charged.

I guess we were lucky to get a reservation, but sitting my door is not great.

It was a very busy evening at Vaccaro’s. Our waiter was very busy, but he gave us as much attention as he could. He was very pleasant despite the pressure. The food is always delicious! We sat with friends who cleaned their plates! My husband and I find the portions so generous that we usually bring something home. It's always a treat when we go to Vaccaro!
