Royal Buffet Grill - Akron

This restaurant used to have a vibrant and cheerful staff, but now it feels quite the opposite. The woman at the front always appears angry and behaves rudely. I once inquired about when the sushi would be served at the teppan cooking area and was met with an unpleasant response from the man behind the counter, who snapped at me that he was "busy right now." After taking a 10-15 minute break, I returned only to be yelled at again for the same reason, even though there were no orders cooking on the flat top. While the prices are reasonable, the staff seem very unhappy, which makes for a less enjoyable experience.

The price of $41.60 for two buffets and two drinks felt quite high, especially considering that they pursued me for a tip. That's why I'm giving them only one star and won't be returning. The food quality was inconsistent, which is to be expected at a buffet, and while I understand that service may be limited, I did leave a cash tip on the table. The plaza itself also felt a bit sketchy. Overall, I definitely do not recommend dining here.

I used to come to this place when I was younger. It was wonderful and the prices were even better. I don’t know what happened. Now the food is terrible, the service is somehow worse, and the bill was absolutely insane for not even mediocre food. We got stared at the entire time we were eating, saw mold on one of the unpeeled oranges, and most of our food was dry, undercooked, or just inedible. Because of this, we left a not great tip. The waitress came over, took our receipt and then laughed about the tip that she had been given. She had a horrible attitude towards us. Needless to say, we will not be coming back here unless it’s the last restaurant on the planet.

This restaurant used to be very good! Not now….Everything I put on my plate was cold. The bourbon chicken must have been out since the restaurant opened. My grand daughters couldn’t even chew it! I will definitely NOT be returning here. So not worth the price!!!! I overheard a customer behind me say it was disgusting, and it was!
